FirstWorks has rescheduled the international ice-dancing company to appear on Thursday\, December 8 with three\, free performances of their show-stopping hits at 6:00\, 7:00 and 8:00 p.m.\, followed by an ice-skating dance party until 9:30 p.m.* \n“A liberating\, exhilarating\, breathtaking experience”\n-The Stage (UK) \nLe Patin Libre (French for “Free Skate”) are pioneers of contemporary skating who defy stereotypes\, transforming athleticism into a means of free expression. Founded in Montréal by former high-level figure skaters\, the company wields ice\, skates and glide as pure mediums of artistic storytelling.  \nIn “Carte Blanche\,” Le Patin Libre’s founders draw on influences from theatre\, street dance\, and tap\, applying all to the ice rink that is their stage. With joyful authenticity\, the artists combine the best excerpts of their showstopping repertory to create a festive introduction to their new choreographic art form. \nFirstWorks is a core partner for the inaugural Three Nights of Lights festival\, collaborating with WaterFire\, The Avenue Concept\, Providence’s Department of Art\, Culture + Tourism and the PWCVB. A special remastered outdoor video projection of “FirstWorks’ Urban Carnevale – a musical celebration\,” will continue as planned during Three Nights of Lights on Friday\, December 2 from 5-9:00 p.m. on the façade of Trinity Rep\, on Empire Street across from the Providence Public Library. \n*ALL ATTENDEES MUST CHECK IN AT THE RINK TICKET WINDOW FOR ADMISSION STICKERS. Attendees are welcome to bring their own ice-skates for the free dance party. Rental Skates are $7 per person. Performances end at 8:30 PM and the public Ice-Skating Dance Party is 8:30-9:30 PM.
