FirstWorks and Small Island Big Song on The Rhode Show

FirstWorks’ Kathleen Pletcher and Small Island Big Song co-producer BaoBao Chen join host Brendan Kirby on the Rhode Show on March 12. As part of our 20th anniversary season “Global Journeys” series FirstWorks brings the touring production of “Small Island Big Song” to The Strand Ballroom and Theatre on Friday, March 15. This performance caps a five-day FirstWorks arts-education residency in Rhode Island schools. Performing against a backdrop of cinematic visuals filmed in their homelands, leading musicians from Taiwan, Mauritius, Tahiti, Madagascar and Papua New Guinea come together to sing for our changing seas.
